HOW MUCH IS REGISTRATION?
Registration with the Sharks is $180.00 per player.

The registration cost is set by the club and includes player insurances, Group 7 playing fees, Council fees, Presentation costs and a Sharks training shirt. For 17 rounds a year this equates to approx $11 per week to play.

All players registering in 2026 will receive a training shirt as part of their registration.
Additional merchandise can be purchased from the canteen at times specified during the pre season and on game days throughout the season. See the merchandise tab for available items.

GIRLS ONLY - DUAL REGISTRATIONS
For girls who wish to play BOTH tag and tackle, we can provide a discount code for registration so it’s only 1 rego cost per player. Email us at Shellharboursharksjuniors@hotmail.com to obtain code.

WHAT TEAMS ARE AVAILABLE?
Each year, Shellharbour Sharks field teams from U/6 through to U/16 in tackle for both boys and girls.
We have Girls only tackle teams for U12, U14 and U16 age groups.
We also offer League tag (non-contact) for girls only in U8s to U16s.

Shellharbour Sharks also run an NRL approved program for the tiny Sharks in the family. ‘Little League Stars’ is a program for kids aged 3-5. It is generally run on a weekday afternoon during the regular league season. Info on this will be posted on our socials in approx April/May 2026.

You play in the age you are turning this year. So, someone turning 9 in 2026 plays in under 9s. The minimum age for footy (under 6s) is 4 turning 5 this year. All players are required to play in their own age group. If there is no age group available to play in (eg; you are turning 11 but there is no under 11 Tag team at the Sharks), you default go up and play in the next available team which would be under 12 Tag.
WHAT GEAR DO I NEED TO PLAY?
Playing jerseys are provided by the club and are returned to the coach/manager after every game. All jerseys must be returned to the club at the end of the season.

Mouthguards & Headgear are optional however boots are compulsory.
Shellharbour Sharks playing shorts and socks are required for all players, these are available for purchase from the canteen prior to and during the season - open times will be posted to Facebook.

We also have polo shirts and various other merchandise available for sale that can be worn to the game day or just to flex being a proud Shellharbour Sharks member.
HOW MANY PLAYERS ARE ON EACH TEAM?
Player numbers vary in each age group due to the different number of players required on the field in each age group.
